CYPRESS — The Tarkington Lady Horns put up a fight on Friday evening before falling to East Bernard 8-0 in game two of their Region III Bi-District series against the Lady Brahmas.

In game one on Thursday night, East Bernard won 13-0 to take a 1-0 lead in the series.

Jaiden Massie pitched a complete game for the Lady Horns and had two strikeouts on Friday.

Savannah West and Abby Peachee each had singles in the first and second innings before being stranded on base.

The Lady Brahmas scored single tallies in the first, third, and fourth innings to lead 3- 0. In the third inning, left fielder Marley Marquez made a diving catch for Tarkington.

In the fifth inning, the Lady Horns put a couple of runners on base as Shelbie Chamblee walked, and a pitch hit Peachee.

Marquez then grounded into a fielder's choice, and the East Bernard pitcher would get out of the jam on the next hitter.

The Lady Brahmas then put up two runs in the bottom half of the frame to make the score 5- 0. Aniah Hyde and Sheridan House each singled but would be stranded on base, keeping the score the same.

East Bernard added to their lead in the sixth inning with three runs to push their advantage to 8-0.

Adriana Evans reached base in the seventh inning for Tarkington after being hit by a pitch but could not advance past first base.

Congratulations to the Lady Horns and firstyear Head Coach Courtney Day for making the playoffs and finishing the season with 18 wins.
