Sandra Sherman Castille passed away peacefully February 1, 2024, with her family by her side. Sandra was born September 17, 1948 to Thomas William Sherman and Aline Sherman in Liberty, TX, where she was raised. She met Bob Castille and knew right away that he was the love of her life. They later moved to Houston, TX, where they raised their family. They were married 39 years prior to Bob’s passing in 2008.

Sandra raised two sons, Bobby Castille and Tommy Castille. She was the best Team Mom, Scorekeeper, Cheerleader, Snack Provider, and Chauffeur to practices and games. She was great at letting the Ref’s and Ump’s know they were always wrong. Her love for her children carried on through her grandchildren later in life. You could always count on her to be there to support her family.

She retired in 2014 as Vice President of Litton Loan Servicing after many years of service. Soon after, she moved to Sealy, Texas to be close to her son and grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Tommy and Aline Sherman, her husband Bob Castille, Sister-in-Law Betsy Peete and husband Curtis. Sandra is survived by her sons Bobby Castille and wife Gwen, Tommy Castille and wife Kim. Sister Charlotte Gulledge and husband Oran. Sister-in-Law Jan Blackwood and husband Keith. Grandchildren Beth Martin and husband Clayton, John Ray Castille, Carlie Gough and Cody Castille. Great grandchildren Lily and Elia Martin.

Sandra also held a special place in her heart for her dear childhood friends Martha Ager Goodwin and Judy Dell’Aira and long time friend Pam Lathrop.

Memorial Service/Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
