POINTED IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION?

My younger brother and I both owned a horse. He got to ride a lot more than I did and became a very accomplished rider. He was visiting me one weekend. I borrowed a horse for him and we went for a ride. My horse, Titan, was not being very obedient, so I asked Alan to ride him. In no time, Titan went anywhere Alan wanted him to go. I got back on him and he then did the same for me.

When I asked Alan how he did that, he replied, “I just kept him pointed in the direction I wanted him to go, instead of letting him go the direction he wanted to go.”

“Show me the path where I should go, O Lord; point out the right road for me to walk.” (Psalm 25:4) Danny R. Biddy, Chaplain: Chambers County Sheriff ’s Office & Fellowship of Christian Cowboys
