Ashley Lauren Quinn and Ezra Spike Cox were united in marriage on September 17, 2011 in a beautiful ceremony at Villa Antonia in Austin, Texas. The presiding minister was Pastor Steve Aylor, Ashley's former youth pastor of Woodlands Church. Scripture readings and poetry were given by Andrew Reidland, Jacob Reidland and Benjamin Reidland, cousins of the bride. Songs in the wedding ceremony were Starafur by Sigur Ros, Heavenly Day by Patty Griffin, Before the Throne of God by Shane and Shane, In Christ Alone by Avalon and Use Somebody by Kings of Leon. Following the ceremony the bride's parents hosted a reception at Villa Antonia with entertainment provided by The Grooves band. On the eve of the wedding, the groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner at the beautiful Lago Vista lakehouse on Lake Travis. The morning of the wedding a bridal brunch was given by Traci Tucker and Lannise Reidland, aunts of the bride.
The bride is the daughter of Terry and Kari Quinn of Spring, Texas. She is the granddaughter of Geneva Reidland and the late Dave Reidland of Dayton, Texas and Wayne and Betty Quinn of Saginaw, Texas. The groom is the son of Kelly and Susan Cox of Springfield, Missouri. He is the grandson of Jack and Jackie Orr of Hutchinson, Kansas and Larry and Ginny Oliver of Springfield, Missouri.
Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore a couture white silk gown with a chapel train by Martina Liana and a three quarter length white veil with silk ribbon trim. She wore her mother's diamond necklace and pearl and diamond earrings. The bride carried a bouquet of mini Calla Lilies, In her bouquet she carried her great-grandmother Hulda Reidland's handkerchief and a cross crocheted by her great-grandmother Mae Quinn.
Matron of honor was Amy Bardin, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Halie Tucker, cousin of the bride; Ashley Burg, Ann Marie Flamenco, Amy McLaughlin, Micah Reis and Melissa VanDerhey, Baylor roommates. Ava Rawdon, adorned in ‘layers and layers' of white taffeta with a white satin sash and white ballet slippers and Jack Lobingier, wearing all black, cousins of the bride, rang bells as ‘Announcers of the Bride'. Honor attendants were Abigail Woodworth, Katherine Woodworth, Annie Woodworth and Lauren Woodworth, cousins of the bride. They were gowned alike in royal blue dresses.
Best man was Matthew Williams, friend of the groom. Groomsmen were Brett Bauris, Chad Evenson, Frank Kelso and Michael Vogt, friends of the groom; Nathan Quinn, brother of the bride and Kendall Bardin, brother-in-law of the bride. Ring bearer was Cameron Cox, brother of the groom. Ushers were Trey Tucker and Reid Tucker, cousins of the bride.
The bridesmaids were gowned alike in gray, cocktail dresses with royal blue embroidery on the bodice and above the hem of the dresses. They wore royal blue satin sandals and blue gray pearl necklaces and matching earrings, gifts from the bride. The bridesmaids carried bouquets of blue Iris, light blue solid Hydrangea and blue violet Veronica. .
The groom wore a black tuxedo with white shirt, vest and tie. His attendants and the ring bearer wore black tuxedos with white shirts and royal blue ties.
Following their honeymoon to Mexico the newlyweds now reside in Dallas.
