Phase I of the project was completed in May, as reported in the May 19 edition of The Vindicator, ‘Out with the Old.’ In that story, we detailed how subcontractor Roll-Lift, headquartered in Dayton, used their heavy equipment, choreographed by Russell Marine, to lift the 1919 Pratt Truss Swing bridge, originally in one piece onto the west bank of the river. The old swing bridge now sits adjacent to US 90 in two pieces.
