WINNIE— It was a challenging year around the diamond for East Chambers, but one Lady Buccaneer was recognized for her efforts on the season.

The East Chambers Lady Buccaneers dropped four of their last five district games, finishing one spot out of the final playoff spot for District 22-3A.

The sole representative for EC this season was senior Isabella Quave, securing a spot on the second team.

The Orangefield Lady Cats finished with four of the top awards in 22-3A.

Leading the way was freshman Teal Kibodeaux of Orangefield as she picked up the District's MVP. Charlee Sanches of the Lady Cats picked up the Offensive MVP along with Anahuac's Keeley Butler, while the Defensive MVP went to Jayda Granger, also of Anahuac.

The Newcomer of the Year was another freshman from Orangefield, Jocelyn Droddy. The Lady Cats Rebekah Ragsdale was named the District's Coach of the Year.

Kirbyville put a whopping six players on the district's first team list and Anahuac almost matched that with five on the second team.
