DAYTON BRONCOS

The Dayton Broncos almost came back from a 10run deficit at home on Friday night to close the 2024 baseball season before falling to Huntsville 11-9. The Hornets put up 10 runs in the first inning and Dayton kept closing the gap. The Broncos scored three in the bottom half of the first inning as Issiah Mc-Fadden reached on an error, and on the play, both Justin Hector and Tyler Threadgill would score, cutting the deficit to 102. Andrew Soliz crossed the plate on a ground ball to make it 10-3. Trailing 11-5 head into the fifth inning, Dayton scored three in the fifth and another run in the sixth to get within 11-9. McFadden finished with two hits and four RBIs, while Grant Odom added three hits. Soliz chipped in with two hits and a pair of RBIs.
