A number of third-graders from Cleveland ISD’s Cottonwood Elementary School overcame some significant obstacles this past school year, as did most students over the last 12 plus months, and they went the extra mile in their education as part of a pilot program called First in Math, and they were recently rewarded for that hard work.
Read moreThe Liberty Lady Panthers will face Bullard on Thursday night at 7 p.m. in Austin. The Class 4A State Semi-final game will take place at the University of Texas Red and Charline McCombs Field. Liberty comes into the game with a 31-7 record while Bullard comes in at 32-5. It will be the battle of The Lady Panthers as Bullard also shares the same mascot name as Liberty. Bullard advanced to Austin with a game three 12-4 win over Aubrey on Saturday at Grand Saline. Anistyn Foster got the win on the mound for Bullard against Grand Saline on Saturday. In the other Class 4A State Semi-final it will be Calallen facing off against Iowa Park. The State Championship Game will be on Saturday at 1 p.m.
