Read moreHOUSTON – It was a successful weekend for the Dayton varsity and JV soccer teams as both squads captured championships at the C.E. King Panther Classic Soccer Tournament. The varsity Lady Broncos played host C.E. King and won 4-1. Scoring goals for Dayton were Ameera Zeno, who had two goals, and Emilia Carranco and Sarah Penaloza, who added a goal apiece. 'This was a very solid tournament where we demonstrated character and unity,' said Lady Broncos Head Coach Fredy Parra. The JV secured their victory against Porter in penalty kicks. Saddie Sanchez, Celeste Aguilar and Kahrisma Navarro led the team to win, with Desthene Tapia making crucial contributions by saving two penalty kicks. Dayton will take part in the Cajun Classic this weekend.
