BAKELESS BAKE SALE
Although the Jubilee will take place this year, due to price increases of ingredients, etc., Friends of the Library will once again have the Bakeless Bake Sale, which has been a success for the past two years. Donations of any amount may be mailed to Beverly Davis at 1711 Webster Street Liberty, Texas 77575-4752 or dropped in the mail slot at the front door. Donations may also be dropped off at the library. Make checks out to the Friends of the Library. They will be accepted now through April 1st. All the money goes to the library for activities such as the Summer Reading Program and supplies throughout the year. The annual book sale will take place on the library’s second floor on March 25 and 26 during the Jubilee.
First United Methodist Church Liberty and Life Share Blood Centers will be hosting a blood drive Thursday, March 17, 2022, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM, in the Fellowship Hall, 539 Main Street, Liberty. Anyone who has not donated whole blood in the last 56 days, or double red cells in the last 112 days, is eligible. By donating blood, you are truly giving the gift of life. VALLEY PLAYER AUDITIONS
Auditions for The Valley Players upcoming musical “9 to 5” will be held on Sunday, March 20 at 4 pm and Monday, March 21 at 6 pm. High school age and adults are welcome and needed. The auditions will occur at Geraldine D. Humphreys Cultural Center at 1710 Sam Houston Street in Liberty. Please use the Stage Door Entrance on Austin Street. The American Legion Dayton Memorial Post 512 will be holding a Blood Drive Monday, March 21, from 9 am to 1:30 pm. Donors will receive a free t-shirt, plus a ticket to Big Rivers Water Park and Adventures. Register in advance at www.giveblood.org. They ask that you eat, drink and bring ID. The Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center sponsors the event.
CHS ALL-CLASS REUNION CRAWFISH BOIL
Mark your calendars! The CISD Education Foundation is hosting a CHS All-Class Reunion Crawfish Boil on Saturday, March 26th, from 11 am to 4 pm at Stancil Park. KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS FISH FRY
The Liberty Knights of Columbus will have their annual fish fry, with all the trimmings, on Fridays during lent at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 411 Milam St in Liberty, Texas. This will be TAKEOUT/DRIVE THROUGH ONLY, and it will be held on March 4, 11, 18,25, and April 1 and 8 from 5 to 7 pm. Enter off Milam St and exit onto Austin St. The cost is $15 per plate.

Lily Of The Valley Baptist Church is having a BBQ Cook-Off on April 2nd. Bring your friends and family, and don’t forget your appetite as there will be plenty of food such as ribs, smoked turkey legs, brisket, and so much more. There will also be loads of fun and prizes. DAYTON COMMUNITY-WIDE CLEAN-UP
The Dayton Enhancement Committee will be hosting a Community-Wide Cleanup event on Saturday, April 9, from 10 am – 12 pm. The community is invited to come out and take part in this Spring-cleaning event around the city. Participants will meet at the Crossroads Park on HWY 90.

Liberty Masonic Lodge announces their annual PORK LOIN sale for Easter. This fundraiser supports student scholarships for graduating seniors in Liberty ISD and Hardin ISD and charitable community projects. These pork loins are $30.00 each and perfectly seasoned and slow-smoked to perfection. Each one is 5 pounds before cooking and will be available for pick up on Saturday, April 16th, and ready for you to enjoy for Easter Sunday. The Hardin Senior Citizens meet at the Hardin Community Center each week Tuesday-Friday the center opens at 8:30 am for anyone wanting a little breakfast at no charge or just to swing in to visit. The Family Church in Hardin hosts Celebrate Recovery, a weekly class every Tuesday at 7 pm. If you know someone who needs this class, please share this information with them. This is a Bible-based recovery program for alcohol, drugs, codependency, anger management, etc. The Family Church is located at 656 CR 2010 in Hardin, Texas.
