KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS FISH FRY

The Liberty Knights of Columbus will have their annual fish fry, with all the trimmings, on Fridays during lent at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 411 Milam St in Liberty, Texas. This will be TAKEOUT/DRIVE THROUGH ONLY, and it will be held on March 4, 11, 18, 25, and April 1 and 8 from 5 to 7 pm. Enter off Milam St and exit onto Austin St. The cost is $15 per plate.

SACRED HEART CHURCH-FISH DINNER

The Sacred Heart Church is hosting a fish dinner for the Lenten season. It will be held on March 11, 18, 25, and April 1 and 8 from 10 am-1 pm. Come out to 3730 FM 160 North, Raywood, Texas, for some delicious fried or grilled fish along with hushpuppies, coleslaw, rice, and cake for $10. Large order delivery is available. FREE INCOME TAX PREPARATION AND ELECTRONIC FILING

The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program offers free tax return preparation and electronic filing to low and moderate-income individuals and families (generally $60,000 and below). Friday, April 8th, you can visit the Jones Public Library, 801 S. Cleveland St. Suite A in Dayton from 1 pm-5 pm for assistance by IRS certified taxpayers from South Texas College of Law Houston. No appointment needed and walk-ins are welcome. You will need proof of identity, W2 and any 1099 forms, social security or ITIN number cards for all family members, copy of last year’s tax return (if available), total paid for daycare provider and providers' tax identifying number, any other tax documents, and a personal check to allow for direct deposit of your tax return. FRIENDS OF JONES PUBLIC LIBRARY BOOK SALE

The Friends of the Jones Public Library will be hosting a book sale on April 9th-10th during the Trade Days. The Friends will be set up with a booth located just inside the Community Center. The booth will be open on Saturday and Sunday from opening to closing of the day.

BREAKFAST WITH THE BUNNY

The Easter Bunny will be hopping his way to Calvary Baptist Church of Dayton on Saturday morning, April 9th, from 8:30 am -10:30 am. Come have breakfast, play games, do crafts, and bring your camera to take a picture with the Bunny. This is a free event, and the public is invited. EASTER BUNNY IS COMING TO DAYTON

The Easter Bunny is coming to Dayton, Saturday, April 9 from 10 am-2 pm at Parker Hall. Come out and join the Dayton Historical Society as they welcome the Easter Bunny. Bring your camera and snap a photo with the Bunny. The event is free and there will be refreshments. Parker Hall is located at 201 S. Hill Street behind the Dayton Old School Museum.

DAYTON COMMUNITY-WIDE CLEAN-UP

The Dayton Enhancement Committee will be hosting a Community-Wide Cleanup event on Saturday, April 9, from 10 am – 12 pm. The community is invited to come out and take part in this Spring-cleaning event around the city. Participants will meet at the Crossroads Park on HWY 90.

COLBERT ELEMENTARY PRE-K ROUNDUP

Colbert Elementary will be holding the 2022-2023 school year Pre-K Round up Registration in the Colbert Cafeteria Monday, April 11, 9a-2p and 5p-7p, Tuesday, April 12, 9a-2p and 5p-7p, and Wednesday, April 13, 9a-2p. IT’S AN EGG HUNT!

Swing by Liberty Municipal Library April 13th at 10:30! To celebrate the arrival of spring we will be sharing an egg-cellent story at 10:30 and at 11 we will be hosting an egg hunt.

Candy-filled eggs will be hidden across the back park of the library for little ones to seek, and three lucky searchers will discover special eggs which they can turn into the circulation desk for a free Easter Basket filled with toys and candy.

This event is free and all area children ages three to five are invited to attend.

Our Mother Of Mercy Catholic Church will be hosting their 83rd annual Easter Rodeo April 15-17, 2022, at the Liberty County TVE Fairgrounds. Open/A.S.G.C.A approved. Liberty Masonic Lodge announces their annual PORK LOIN sale for Easter. This fundraiser supports student scholarships for graduating seniors in Liberty ISD and Hardin ISD and charitable community projects. Cleveland Livestock Show and Dairy Day is presenting their Country Boots and Hometown Roots Parade on April 23 at 3pm. The Grand Marshal includes the 2021 Rodeo Queen Marlee Brooks and 2022 Rodeo Queen Contestants. The Hardin Senior Citizens meet at the Hardin Community Center each week Tuesday-Friday the center opens at 8:30 am for anyone wanting a little breakfast at no charge or just to swing in to visit. CELEBRATE RECOVERY

The Family Church in Hardin hosts Celebrate Recovery, a weekly class every Tuesday at 7 pm. If you know someone who needs this class, please share this information with them. This is a Bible-based recovery program for alcohol, drugs, codependency, anger management, etc. The Family Church is located at 656 CR 2010 in Hardin, Texas.
