FOOD DISTRIBUTION
The Dayton Community Center will be hosting a Mobile Food Distribution on Wednesday, Aug. 16. The lineup starts no earlier than 10 am. This event is sponsored by Dayton Chamber of Commerce, Journey Fellowship, and Houston Food bank. For more information call 936-258-6630.
FUMC BLOOD DRIVE First United Methodist Church Liberty, along with Life Share Blood Centers, will be hosting a blood drive, Thursday, Aug. 17, from 3 to 7 p.m., in the Fellowship Hall, 539 Main Street, Liberty. Anyone who has not donated whole blood in the last 56 days, or double red cells in the last 112 days, is eligible. By donating blood, you are truly giving the gift of life. SOCCER SHOOT
Liberty Elks Lodge will be having a Soccer Shoot on Saturday, Aug. 19 at 10 a.m. This is for boys and girls 4-15 years old to show off their soccer skills. There will be a kicking contest and winners will be advancing to District Shoot. This event will be held at Liberty Middle School. Houston Methodist will visit the Liberty County Sheriff's Department for a blood drive on Thursday, August 31, from 10 am to 2 pm. It will be held in the meeting room. 24TH ANNUAL CITY PARK PARTY The Vision Ministry International will be hosting their 24th Annual City Park Party on Sept. 9 from 3 to 9 p.m. There will be Hot dogs, Snow Cones, Popcorn, Bounce Houses, Train Rides, a Live concert, Dance/Stomp/Drama Teams, and Chances to win prizes. Dayton Community Center will be holding a Job Fair on Tuesday, Sept. 19 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Bring copies of your resume or contact information. This event will be at the Dayton Community Center.
MAMMOGRAM DAY
The Rose non-profit breast health provider is partnering with the Marshall Family Practice to reach uninsured women, ages 40 and older, through The Mobile Mammography Program with screening mammograms. This mammogram opportunity for no cost to those eligible will be held on October 26 from 9 am to 3:30 pm at 601 S. Winfree in Dayton. CONVERSATIONS & BREAKFAST Pastor Ken Davis from Calvary Baptist Church in Dayton invites everyone to talk to him or pray with him on Friday mornings from 8:30 am to 12 pm at MacDonald’s. You bring the conversation, and he buys the breakfast. You are also more than welcome to send him a Facebook message to leave a prayer request for him.
FIRST SUNDAY JAM
The first Sunday of each month, Cleveland VFW is sponsoring “ The First Sunday” jam hosted by the Loose Change Band from 1–5 pm. Bring your axe and your talent. Musicians wanted. There will be food available.

On the third Tuesday of every month, a Senior Breakfast will be held at the Dayton Community Center at 9 am. Donations are welcomed. Thrif-tee Food Center will sponsor the breakfast.

CELEBRATE RECOVERY
The Family Church in Hardin hosts Celebrate Recovery, a weekly class every Friday at 7 pm. If you know someone who needs this class, please share this information with them.
