Anahuac drops games to East Chambers and Buna

ANAHUAC– The Anahuac Lady Panthers have shown much improvement on the court this season, but last week was tough as they ran into a pair of formidable district foes, East Chambers and Buna.

The week started last Tuesday night at home as East Chambers came to town and won 67-21.

The Lady Buccaneers won the first quarter 20-6 and then extended their lead to 37-12 at the half.

East Chambers put the game away with a 16-6 third quarter to take a commanding 53-18 lead into the fourth quarter of play.

The win moved the Lady Buccaneers to 15-4 on the season and 3-0 in district play.

The Lady Panthers traveled to Buna on Friday night and fell to the Lady Cougars 59-22.

Anahuac is now 9-5 on the season and 1-2 in district play. The Lady Panthers return to action on Jan. 6, traveling to Hardin.
