CCYPS recognizes significant community contributions
WALLISVILLE— Two individuals who have had a lasting impact within the county were honored during the 69th Annual Chambers County Youth Project Show.
This year’s auction was named in honor of Samuel Francis Hill III.
“Sam’s service to his community had extended across decades and organizations,” said Samantha Humphrey, CCYPS organizer. “His presence is gentle, his wisdom quiet, and his character unshakable. To know him is to admire him.”
This year’s arena was named in honor of Shannon Comeaux, a 35-year volunteer of CCYPS.
“Shannon brings a joy to this place that can’t be measured,” Humphrey said. “Shannon, this show is stronger because of you. We are better because of you.”
Also recognized were the 2025 CCYPS scholarship recipients, including Dylan Biddy, Ethan Cart, Hannah Griffice, Brenton Vaughan and Clay Witherspoon.
