While very active in the community through her business, CC Ice Cream Truck, owner Cindy Wallace Davis is looking to serve the community in another way by running for Justice of the Peace Precinct 5.

JP 5 David Hatfield will face a couple of challengers in the upcoming March primaries, including Davis, who believes she has a lot to offer to the position.

"Integrity, respect, and ethics guide my decisions," Davis said. "I believe in doing things the right way, which allows me to make confident, fair decisions while protecting citizens' rights and upholding the integrity of our courts."

Davis has been a business owner for 25 years, operating CC Ice Cream Truck and GE Davis Transport.

Davis said she brings strong morals, solid ethics and honest leadership in everything she does.

"I understand how to responsibly manage and budget an office, and I believe public service requires accountability and transparency," Davis said.

Davis is an active member of the community, bringing her ice cream truck to many events, including the Mid-Chambers County Ministerial Alliance Community Thanksgiving, the Making Memories for Myles Bingo fundraising event, and the Christmas Movie in the Park event, to name a few.

"My priorities are clear: to serve as an impartial judge, ensure county proceedings are fair, respectful, and fully compliant with the United States Constitution and all Texas laws," Davis said.

Davis added to her priorities, listing setting bonds appropriately, serving the community, keeping the county safe, and holding individuals accountable for their actions.

Davis is a conservative Republican, business owner, wife, mother and grandmother. She is a lifelong resident of Chambers County, a member of the Anahuac Church of Christ, and she holds a business degree.

Davis runs alongside incumbent Hatfield and candidate Bradley Moon, for whom The Progress will provide more details.
