East Chambers takes to the road early
WINNIE— Coming off a playoff appearance in 2024, the East Chambers Buccaneers will be road warriors early on during the upcoming football season, with three of their first four games on the road.
EC will make the long bus ride out west on Aug. 29 to open the season against a good Rice Consolidated football team.
The Buccaneers will play in front of their home fans for the first time on Sept. 5 against the Hardin-Jefferson Hawks.
They will hit the road the following Friday for a trip to Class 4A Liberty. After a bye week, East Chambers will open district play on Sept. 25 at Buna.
A short week will follow as the Buccaneers return home for a Thursday night affair with the Hardin Hornets, which could be a pivotal game in district play.
Rivalry week follows that contest with the “Swamp Bowl” on Oct. 10 and a short trip to Anahuac to tangle with the Panthers.
Homecoming will be the following Friday, and it will be another tough contest as the Coldspring Trojans make their way to town.
East Chambers then travels to Kirbyville on Oct. 24.
The final regular season contest will be on Halloween Night in what could be a matchup for the district title with the Orangefield Bobcats visiting Buccaneer Stadium.
