Granados leads all EC runners, girls take first

    East Chambers runner Agustin Granados finished in fourth place at the Tony Munson Invitational last Friday morning in Liberty.

LIBERTY– The East Chambers cross country teams both performed very well on Friday morning at the Tony Munson Invitational.

The Lady Buccaneers finished in first place as a team. Karen Hernandez finished in 12th place while teammates Kalyssa Fontenot and Giselle Santana were right behind her in 13th and 14th place.

Mikeala Quave finished in 17th place while Parker Williams was 23rd.

Anahuac's Mykala Hightower was in 26th place, and teammate Kasey Galindo Morales crossed in 29th.

On the boys' side, it was East Chambers finishing in second place as a team behind first-place Little Cypress-Mauriceville.

Leading the way for the Buccaneers was Agustin Granados with a fourth-place finish, and Christian Moreno was in 16th place. Teammates Xavi Martinez and Jose Rufino were in 17th and 22nd place.
