Grooving for a good cause
WALLISVILLE— It’s time to get your groove on as Making Memories for Myles hosts its Third Annual Bingo Night.
Bingo night is set for Saturday, Nov. 22, this year, with a 70s theme, and as always, profits will go towards families in need.
The event has always been well attended, and after just one bingo event, the community raised enough funds to build the Making Memories for Myles Family Room at The Woman’s Hospital of Texas, which opened in April of this year.
“We never thought we would make it this far, much less what our community has been able to provide to those in need,” said Sarah Trahan, cofounder of the Making Memories for Myles Foundation.
For this year’s bingo night, there will be plenty of fun with dinner, raffles, snacks, desserts, a photo booth and a DJ.
Bingo will include a minimum of 10 bingo games, with three chances to win each prize. Attendees can also purchase extra bingo books, cards for the raffle and an extra premium prize.
For prizes, there’s a little something for anyone to enjoy with options like a Yeti cooler, firearms, Turtlebox speaker, designer purse and much more.
Trahan said the fundraiser will help build future family rooms, with more details to come.
In the meantime, the foundation will continue providing for families with babies in the NICU.
MMM helps with unexpected costs, such as parking, food, gas and funeral expenses. The foundation also helps provide comfort through other means, such as the Myles Blessing Boxes.
For the event, single tickets are $50, but sponsorship opportunities are still available.
The Saturday Night Fever package, $1,000, includes dinner, bingo games for eight guests, eight raffle ticket bundles, priority table choice and swag bags. The sponsor also receives table recognition, entrance sign, large logo on the banner, announced recognition and Facebook recognition.
The Stayin’ Alive package, $750, includes dinner, bingo games for eight guests, eight raffle tickets and swag bags. The sponsor also receives table recognition, a medium logo on the banner, announced recognition and Facebook recognition.
