ANAHUAC— Last week, the Anahuac Lions Club gathered to wish longtime Lion Linda Tinnerman farewell before she moves to be closer to family.

During the party, President Laura Carrington gave a speech about Tinnerman’s years of service to the community and presented a plaque from the Lions Club.

Tinnerman followed with a small speech, sharing gratitude to those in attendance.

She was also presented with a resolution given by House District 23 Director Susan LeBlanc on behalf of Rep. Terri Leo Wilson.

Tinnerman joined the Anahuac Lions Club in 1996 alongside her husband, Bill Tinnerman, and has remained an active member since.

She was principal of Anahuac High School and Anahuac Middle School and a member of the Anahuac ISD Education Foundation.

She served in various leadership roles in the community, including the Chambers County Public Hospital District No. 1, Bayside Community Hospital Auxiliary, Anahuac Cemetery Association and the Daughters of the Republic of Texas.
