Trotter, Coates lead way at district meet

    Anahuac’s Paisley Wells tosses the shot at the District 22-3A Track Meet last week in Anahuac. Wells placed second in the shot and discus and will compete this week at the Area Meet in Diboll.

ANAHUAC— Track and field was front and center at Kyle White Stadium as athletes competed in the District 22-3A Track Meet last Tuesday. 

Athletes who finished in the top four spots will head to Area Meet this week in Diboll. 

On the girls' side, Anahuac's Paisley Wells won second place in the discus. Wells also finished second in the shot put to lead the Lady Panthers.  

On the boy's side for Anahuac, MyQuiet Davis won fourth place in the triple jump. The Panthers dominated the high jump, with Logan Trotter winning first place and teammate Darius Richardson taking second place.  

In the pole vault, Justin Netterville finished fourth. Quandre Coates won first place in the discus throw. Richardson won second place in the long jump.
