TRIVIUM CLUB

The Trivium Club held its first in person meeting of the club year on October 12 at the Liberty Elementary School multi-purpose room. Vice-President Margaret Gardzina presided and led the club in the collect and pledges.

The program was presented by Ross Ward, assisted by Brian Bell and Courtney Rank. Ross has opened a new enterprise in Dayton which is a craft beer produc tion venue. The name is the 101st Brewery in honor of his grandfather’s service in WW II. His future vision which grew out of his garage is to open a tap room with tastings and music.

Club member Julie Herbert presented an overview up of the upcoming bond election for funding the Liberty Independent School District operations needed to offset recent loss of tax base in the district. Sandy Pickett also discussed and urged voting for the proposition to build a new hospital building in Liberty and clinic in Dayton. Members were urged to vote YES for the school and hospital/ clinic. Early voting is from October 18-29 at the Jack Hartel building in Liberty. Election day is November 2.

New member Cindy Liles was welcomed to the club. Laurie Elliot, chair of the Christmas Committee, reported the celebration will be held at the TVE party room on December 14. Members are asked to provide guest names and money at the November 9 meeting.

Members enjoyed socializing and the Halloween decorations and refreshments provided by hostesses Lamar Iverson, Barabara Norwood, and Becky Spears.
