LIBERTY – Area historical enthusiasts came out Sunday, Nov. 6, for a Walk Through History of Downtown Liberty. Participants made their way through Liberty and learned about many historic locations throughout the area, with the Liberty County Historical Commission leading the tour. The event was organized by the Well Church Committees of St. Stephen’s Episcopal and Liberty First United Methodist Church with guidance from Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service of Liberty County. “ There were over 14 stops along the route and the main goal was to offer an enjoyable HEALTHY experience while learning about the history of some of the structures in downtown Liberty,” said County Extension Agent Alexis Cordova.

The planning team is planning for the next Walk Through History. To participate or for more information, please contact Alexis Cordova at 936-334-3230.
