Hardin crowns Homecoming King and Queen

The 2022 Hardin High School Homecoming King and Queen were crowned last Friday night during a very wet ceremony at Hornet Stadium. Jonathan Smith was named king and Jules Thonsgaard was honored as this year’s queen.

Jules is the daughter of Pete Thonsgaard and Tish Thonsgaard. She is the little sister to Jake and Paul Thonsgaard. Jules has proudly attended Hardin ISD since Kindergarten making lifelong friends and memories. Throughout her four years of high school, she has participated in Band, FFA, 4-H, P7, Glee Club, Drama Club, BPA, Student Council and has been a Class Officer all four years. She is currently the Drum Major for the Pride of Hardin-Hornet Band and serves as an officer.

Jonathan is the son of Wendy Bearden and Johnny Smith. He is a twin to Jaden Smith and brother to Justin Smith and Jared Smith. Jonathan has attended Hardin since Kindergarten. During his high school career, he has participated in Student Council, FFA, UIL, BPA, Marching Band, Track, and Football, and he is a Class Officer. He is currently serving as the Hardin FFA sentinel, drum-line lieutenant, and Treasurer for the class of 2023. In his free time, Jonathan enjoys hanging out with his friends, working out with the guys, swimming, and traveling with his family.
