CLEVELAND - On a cool, crisp morning Sunday, Jan. 22, hearts were fired up and ready for service at Green Chapel Missionary Baptist Church. The small white church is located at 5929 FM 787, Cleveland.

Pastor Kenneth L. Davis held a special ceremony where he installed the officers and charged the leaders with their commissions. Davis has been the leader of the flock since being installed by his former pastor and cousin, Pastor Ralph West of The Church Without Walls last March.

Dr. Kenneth L. Davis was raised and now resides in Houston but has numerous relatives in Liberty County and surrounding areas. He and his wife, Sister Brenda, are enthusiastic about the loving spirit of the church and the incredible zealous participation.

The proceedings were officiated most proficiently by Sister Annette Baldwin. She called forth each member and their position for the year 2023, explaining each duty to the entire assembly. Once all were standing across the front of the church, Pastor Davis administered the oaths, which were accepted in unison by the leadership team. Sister Lola Wright demonstrated her talent for facilitating an Italian Luncheon that was hot and waiting as soon as the services were over.
