‘Miss Lou’ retires from post office

Liberty Postmaster Alfred Burton celebrates with 25 year mail carrier Anna ‘Miss Lou’ Warren at her retirement reception last Wednesday morning at the post office. Many retirees and current carriers and staff were on hand to enjoy the event. ‘Miss Lou’ officially retired on August 31. “I really wasn’t ready to retire, but with that heat issue last year and my age, the Postal Service was insistent. I miss my customers and co-workers greatly,” said Mrs. Warren.
