Summer Reading Program 2021, Tails and Tales, is nearly here and Liberty Municipal Library is proud to share some exciting details! This year’s program will end with a virtual Award Ceremony where we will announce the Top Reader from each participating age group as well as winners from a drawing for participants. Some of the prizes that might be won this summer include generous donations from local community partners like 10 de Mayo, Liberty Snoball, Chili’s, Showbiz Cinemas Baytown, the Houston Museum of Natural Science, and the Children’s Museum.

Participants will be able to submit their names to the drawing throughout the summer program by reading so many minutes every week. The number of minutes needed will depend on age. All that is required to participate in our reading program is a library card. Library cards are free to all Texas residents who can present a valid Texas driver’s license, Texas state ID, residency card, or Matricula Consular with a local address. For teens or children to get a library card of their own, a parent or guardian must simply provide one of proofs of residence mentioned above.

For more information about the Summer Reading Program or other services/resources available through the library, call us at 936-336-8901, reach out to us on Facebook or Instagram, or come on in! We are located at 1710 Sam Houston Ave., inside the Geraldine D. Humphreys Cultural Center in Liberty, Texas. The Library is open Monday through Thursday 10:00am-6:00pm, Friday 1:00pm-5:00pm, and Saturday 10:00am-4:00pm. We would love to see you!
