(1)Titter Hogan will discuss the history of her late husband as a Pearl Harbor survivor when she speaks in Lufkin twice on Monday, November 15, 2021. The first time, at 12:30 p.m., she will speak to middle school students in the library of Saint Cyprian’s Episcopal School under the direction of Bambi Shofner. The second time that day, she will address the Angelina County Genealogical Society at 4 p.m. in the Community Meeting Room of Kurth Memorial Library at 706 South Raguet Street in Lufkin, Texas. (4)The Deep East Texas Archeological Society will hold its Christmas dinner and Impromptu Auction beginning at 6 p.m. on Monday, December 6, 2021, at the Iris and Anne Howard Civic Center on 213 East Court Street in Newton, Texas. Vice President Dickie Dixon will cook two briskets, and members will bring sides or desserts, after which the Impromptu Auction begins, a fundraiser that helps the Society run its operation every year.
