Liberty-Dayton Area Chamber’s awards banquet is Feb. 25

Everyone is invited to attend the 44th Liberty-Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce Annual Awards Banquet which will be held 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 25, at the Dayton Community Center, located at 801 S. Cleveland St.

The banquet is a very special chamber event at which the 2019 Citizen of the Year for Dayton and for Liberty will be announced and outgoing Directors Eliza Guidry and Barbara Norwood will be honored for their years of service on the Board.

Keynote Speaker is Judge Ed Emmett, former county judge of Harris County, Texas. Judge Emmett is now a professor in the practice at Rice University with a focus on public policy. In addition, he is a senior fellow at Rice University’s Kinder Institute for Urban Research and a fellow at Rice University’s Doerr Institute for New Leaders. Emmett is also a Distinguished Senior Fellow at Northeastern University’s Global Resilience Institute.

Frank Jordan, CEO of Nutritional Scientific Corporation-Liberty, will serve as master of ceremonies.

Tickets for the banquet are sold prior to the event; no tickets are sold at the door. Individual tickets are $40.00 and a table of ten may be purchased for $350. In order that this banquet can be the best possible, chamber members are invited to participate in sponsoring this very special occasion. There are several levels of sponsorship to choose from which include recognition and up front or near the front seating to highlight your business or organization.
