The Cleveland area continues to be a growth hotspot, and several new businesses are set to open soon. At the most recent Cleveland Economic Development meeting, the board heard updates on several projects from Director Robert Reynolds.

It was announced the area would soon have a new full-service carwash, as Whitewater Express Car Wash has purchased the old Budget Inn at 707 S. Washington. The company has locations in Texas, Ohio, Kentucky, and Michigan and will offer a multitude of carwash services to customers.

A company named Bee Plastics has also made a purchase of 20-acres on CR 2888 and will be employing 20 people once open.

QuickTrip construction continues and hopes to be open in March 2022.

Reynolds also reported he has been in talks with several other businesses in hopes of bringing them to the northside of Liberty County and hopes to see more things happening soon.

Finally, another area business set to open the all-new O’Reilly Auto Parts store on E. Houston, with their first day set for Monday, Jan. 3, 2022.
