DAYTON – There is lots of new artwork popping up around town and now the two most recent installations are complete, chalked full of kids at play and donuts.

Crosby artist Michael Criswell that painted the mural of wildfl owers on the wall of the Dayton Family Clinic on Main Street has been painting away and completed the murals recently.

The first and most significant is at Parker Park on North Winfree Street. It depicts the diversity of residents and, in the background, pays respect to several beloved Dayton landmarks. The installation is part of a $ 10,000 grant the Dayton Enhancement Committee received from the Dayton Community Development Corporation last year and will be the final project from those funds, coming in at $3,000.

The other new mural location is on the east wall of AM Donuts and includes a lively sprinkled donut and pigs in blankets. It is located at 405 US HWY 90.

So next time you are out and about, check them out and remember to use # DayTrip-Dayton on those social media posts.
