DAYTON — Voters are gearing up to head to the polls soon, and next Tuesday, candidates in races across the county will square off as they answer the critical questions of this election cycle.

The Vindicator is partnering with the Dayton Chamber of Commerce for the Liberty County Candidates Forum. The community is invited to come and hear from the candidates on Tuesday, Feb. 13, at 6 p.m. at the Dayton Community Center.

Candidates have been invited in all races in the county, including State Representative, Liberty County District Attorney, Tax Accessor-Collector, County Commissioner Pct. 1 and 3, and constable's candidates in Pct. 1, 5 and 6.

If you have a question you would like the candidates to answer, you can email them ahead of time to russell.payne@thevindicator.com.

There will not be questions from the audience directly at the forum, but if you did not submit your questions early, you can present them at the event.

All questions are subject to approval by The Vindicator and the event moderators.

The event will be streamed on The Vindicator's Facebook page for anyone who can't attend in person.

Refreshments will be served at the event by the Liberty County Republican Women's Club.

Party primaries are March 5. Early voting is from Feb. 20 to March 1 and election day is Tuesday, March 5.
