Townsend will stand up for Dayton

Dayton is home to some of the finest people around, and it is a place, so many of us love to call our home.

As the Dayton area and the city's role continues growing, a need for common-sense fiscally conservative solutions and dedication to all the people is paramount, especially by our local government.

Josh Townsend has the desire, know-how, and love for the community to fill that role in Position 2 on the Dayton City Council.

“Dayton deserves good, sound conservative leadership and a quality of life that we can all be proud of, without leaving families in financial ruin,” said Townsend.

If elected, Dayton residents can rest assured that Townsend will never vote to increase the tax rate in the city.

“We must find common-sense solutions and spend money wisely to ensure taxpayers get the best services for their hard-earned money,” said Townsend.

Townsend believes while tax abatements and special districts are available development tools, the city needs to be patient and do its due diligence and not simply cow-tow to every developer at a cost to city coffers.

“If Dayton is going to work to attract business and developments to the community — they need to bring money to the city now— not years from now,” Townsend said.

Townsend will focus on improving the city infrastructure and improving services citywide.

“We should be working to improve drainage, roads, and our water and sewer system, not closing streets and spending money on unnecessary projects,” said Townsend.

He believes the people and families that call Dayton home deserve better and that he will stand for you, just like he would stand up for his own family.

“I ask you for your vote and the opportunity to represent you and stand up for a better Dayton,” Townsend concluded.
