Dayton ISD Wall of Fame Nominations are now being accepted for the 2019-20 school year.

Nomination forms are available for download online at www.daytonisd.net or can be picked up in person at the administration building. Forms must be returned to DISD Personnel Services by Monday, Feb. 3.

Dayton Independent School District, under the direction of its board of trustees, established a “Wall of Fame” to honor special educators who have contributed to the education of youth for our district. In December of 1999, the board of trustees unanimously approved this process which honors those who have served our students well and deserve recognition for their devotion to the district.

We feel that there have been many well-deserving individuals who should be recognized. Patrons and former students can surely recall teachers, administrators, counselors, librarians and nurses who have made a difference in their lives. For most former students, there was usually one individual who really stood out. That is exactly what the “Wall of Fame” is about — honor and recognition.

The eligibility requirements that nominees must meet are:

All nominees must have served in a professional capacity at Dayton ISD, which includes administrators, teachers, counselors, librarians, and nurses

Nominees must be retired for at least five years or have not been employed in Dayton ISD for five years prior to induction

Minimum of five years of service in Dayton ISD

Nominees must have demonstrated qualities that reflect character, leadership, and service to our students and the district.
