Pct. 4 deputies make bust in Ames

Deputies of the Liberty County Pct. 4 Constable’s Office attempted to serve an outstanding arrest warrant for a suspect located in the Ames area on Wednesday, Nov. 9.

Deputy Constables Robert Adams and Greg Rodriguez attempted to serve the arrest warrant at 331 Walters Street.

During the warrant service attempt, circumstances existed to bring the Deputies to believe that narcotics were present at the location.

During the course of the investigation, Deputies with the Liberty County Sheriff ’s Department and a Liberty County CA Investigator arrived on scene to offer assistance.

Deputies were able to obtain a consent to search the premises, which resulted in the seizure of the following evidence at the scene:

• 157g Methamphetamine

• 17g Powder Cocaine

• 14g Crack Cocaine

• 5g Heroin

• 121g PCP

• 30g Marijuana

• Hydrocodone Pills

• Xanax Pills

• 1 shotgun

• 1 Semi Auto Rifle

• 3 Semi Auto Handguns

• 1 Silencer Three suspects were arrested at the scene and are identified as Ashley Baldwin, 41, of Liberty; Byron Brooks, 49, of Liberty and Glenn Roberts, 40, of Liberty.

All suspects were charged with the following offenses and incarcerated in the Liberty County Jail.

Three Counts of Manufacture/ Delivery of a Controlled Substance, 4g to 200g, in Penalty Group 1, a First-Degree Felony.

One Count of Manufacture/ Delivery of a Controlled Substance, 1g to 4g, in Penalty Group 1, a Second-Degree Felony.

One Count of Manufacture/ Delivery of a Controlled Substance, 4g to 400g, in Penalty Group 2/2A, a First-Degree Felony.

Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Felon, a Third- Degree Felony.
