LIBERTY — The Vindicator is excited to announce the a d d i t i o n of Myria Schubert as the new e d i t o r i a l assistant and staff reporter.

Schubert, 21, is poised to get out and meet the community, is ready to help tell the county’s story, and will work directly with Managing Editor Russell Payne.

“ Myria brings a lot of energy and a willingness to get down to work, and we are glad to have her as a member of our team,” Payne said.

Schubert has been working to get acclimated in her new role and has been pivotal in helping coordinate a pair of recent candidate forums and this week’s election guide.

“I am happy to be a part of such a fun, adventurous workplace surrounded by awesome people.” Stated Schubert.

Schubert, originally from the small town of Snook, has been a proud resident of Tarkington for the last twelve years and resides there with her husband of one year, Logan Smith, and their fur baby, Cactus.

Schubert loves spending time with her family, including her nieces and nephews. She also goes to church every Sunday at Rural Shade Baptist Church.

A 2020 graduate of Tarkington High School, she served as Sentinel in the Tarkington FFA and was involved in the Hardin 4H. She was also President of the Tarkington Automotives Class at THS.

She is ready to make the rounds covering the things that impact the community while developing her journalistic skill set.
