As a result of recent heavy rains from Sept. 18, at 9 a.m. to Sept. 19 at 10 a.m.; the City of Dayton has estimated 111,000  gallons of sanitary sewage into receiving Linney Creek.

All appropriate local government officials and the TCEQ regional office have been notified and the appropriate documentation/records supplied. Clean-up activities of the overflow area have been completed.

Per the National Weather Service, Dayton received approximately 27 inches of rain during the reported period.

The overflow listed above does not affect the City’s fresh water supply.
