Lloyd James Blackstock, 1943-2021

Lloyd James Blackstock born December 22, 1943 in San Antonio, Tx was called home to be with the lord on May 13, 2021 in Lufkin, Tx.

Lloyd is survived by his wife of 56 years, 3 months, 8 days. Barbara Cox Blackstock of Livingston, Tx; Daughters Loretta DeSpain & husband Bobby of Cleveland, Tx, Laura Roberts & husband Chuck of Cleveland, Tx; Jennie Strader & husband James of Jasper, Tx; brothers, Bernie Blackstock of Crosby, Tx, Clarence Blackstock & wife Linda of Pennington, Tx; sisters, Sally Bice & husband Jim of Point Blank, Tx, Vergie Dreher & husband Leon of Bedias, Tx, Elsie Hathorn & husband Billy of Channelview, Tx, Ruth Bedford & husband Victor of Columbus, Tx. Nine grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren; numerous other relatives and a host of friends.

Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents Mary & Gus Blackstock; a infant daughter Selma Doreen Blackstock; brother Gus Blackstock; sisters Judy Henthorn, Grace Crawford & Elizabeth Melton.

Lloyd was a 50 year member of The Grand Lodge of Texas, being an endowed member, and Past Master of C.A Fortner Lodge 1304 in Channelview and Past Master of Trinity Lodge #14 in Livingston. Lloyd was Secretary of Trinity Lodge #14 at his passing. Blue Lodge was his passion he held a Life Certificate and has taught many candidates. Lloyd received the Golden Trowel Award,

The Cornerstone Award and was District Deputy Grand Master of District 30-F in 2005.

Lloyd was a member and has held offices in Lloyd L. Gibson Chapter #481,

Lloyd L. Gibson Council # 394, Kenedy Commandery of Knights Templar,

Lewis L. Sutton Council #317, Channelview Order of Eastern Star # 954 and served on Rainbow board of Rainbow Assembly #224 in Channelview, Texas

Lloyd was honored to receive the Masonic Funeral Ceremony.

Lloyd was a veteran of the United Stated Navy from 1961-1964. The flag ceremony was presented, and a flag presented to his wife.

Lloyd will be greatly missed! He loved to spend time with his family,

Especially great-grandchildren. He was blessed, shared his heart, lived his faith, and gave his love and time to anyone who needed him. He loved to hunt, fish, camping, and being in the woods.

The Pallbearers were Trey Roberts, Cole Brown, Lloyd Thomas-Roberts,

Brent Gazay, Coby James Emmert, Karson Jones, Cody Strader, and Jaymen Allen. The Honorary Pallbearers were Jaedyn Roberts, Blake Martin, Jaxon Reid, Beaux Martin, Kaiden Plummer, Bryson Gazay, Jace Gazay, Gage Roberts, Colson Strader, and Hunter Roberts.

Services for Lloyd were Monday May 17, 2021 at Pace Funeral Home in Livingston. Interment followed at Oakdale Cemetery.
