A Celebration of Paul Archie Douglas’s Life, age 64, of Dayton will be 10 a.m., Saturday, June 29, at Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home in Jasper with burial to follow at Magnolia Cemetery in Holly Springs.

Paul died at his home in Dayton. He was a native and longtime resident of Jasper before moving to Dayton. Paul was a 1972 graduate of Jasper High School, after which he attended Stephen F. Austin University, where he earned his BBA degree. He worked as a contract administrator for Analytic Stress Energy Industries and was a member of First Baptist Church of Dayton, and former member of Hillcrest Baptist Church in Jasper. Paul was very active with the Gideons Bible International and enjoyed volunteering at Magnolia Health Care Center in Liberty with Sunday worship services. He also enjoyed deep sea fishing and hunting.

He is survived by his mother, Shirley Orton Douglas of Jasper; brother, David Douglas and wife Lee Ann of Dayton; and nephews, Drew Douglas of Pasadena, and Daniel Douglas of San Antonio.

He was preceded in death by his father, Clifton Douglas; and his grandparents, Jessie and Corrine Douglas, and Tom and Thelma Lee Orton.

Services are under the direction of Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home of Jasper, Texas.
