Robert Bain, 70, of Liberty passed away on Sunday, Oct. 27. Robert was born in Houston on Jan. 19, 1949 to parents Robert Howard and mother Katherine. He was raised in Houston and attended Aldine High School. Robert enjoyed bull riding in his youth, until he was injured and momentarily died on the operating table. He straightened up a bit after that. On May 12, 1972 Robert married the love of his life, Martha Ann Rosselle, aka Ms. Martha. They resided in Sealy where they raised their two sons, Jason and Travis, and oldest granddaughter, Dustie, before retiring to Palacios. Robert and Martha enjoyed hunting and fishing. They spent much of their retirement doing what they loved, fishing. Robert was a master electrician and spent most of his life running one business or another with Martha by his side. After she passed, he was reunited with his sister and spent his last days in Liberty with her and her family.

Robert is preceded in death by his wife, Martha Bain; son, Jason Bain; father, Robert Howard Bain; sister, Wanda Hubbard; and brother, Devin Bain. He is survived by his son, Travis Bain and wife Scharolette of Dimebox; sisters, Dorothy Nugent and husband Willie of Liberty; Tonya Orsak and husband Jimmy of Hempstead; and Jinnie Bailey and husband David of Austin;  brother, Roger Smith and wife Debbie of La Porte; grandchildren Jacob, Sydney, Ellie, Hunter, Samantha, Penny and Seven Bain of Dimebox, Dustie Marler and husband Chris of Dayton, Bradyn Barrett and Kylea Bain of Bellville; great-grandchildren Trenton and Anna Bain of Dayton; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

A visitation with the family will be held on Friday, Nov. 1, from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. with a funeral service beginning at 2 p.m. at Knesek Bros Hwy. 36 Chapel, 1140 Meyer St., Sealy, TX 77474. Interment will follow service at San Felipe Cemetery in San Felipe.
