Ross Edward Minter, aged 66, of Liberty went to be with the Lord on Thursday, Oct. 24, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on July 17, 1953 in Liberty to parents Edward Lee Minter Jr. and Mary Louise Horner Minter.

Ross worked in the automobile business at Johnson-Minter Motor Company, Burnham Chevrolet, BJ Ford, and Tower Autoplex for a combined 42 years. He was a Godly man, having received Christ as his Lord and Savior at a young age. He lived his faith, loved people and especially had a passion for teaching young people. He made friends wherever he went.

Ross enjoyed music, cooking, fishing, hunting and spending time with family and friends. He will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Ross was preceded in death by his parents and sister Cheryl Rhea Minter. He leaves behind to cherish his memory wife, Kathy Minter of Liberty; son, Cullen Minter and wife Alicia of Woodworth, Louisiana; daughter, Christi Minter Konze and husband Matthew of Houston; grandchildren, Luke Edward Minter, Cora Lynn Minter and Jocelyn Konze. He also leaves behind many other loving relatives and friends.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, Oct. 28, at 10 a.m. at Cooke Memorial Cemetery in Liberty. A reception will immediately follow at Liberty City Park.

In lieu of flowers, the Minter family requested that donations be made in Ross’s honor to the Coach Bill Pickens Memorial Scholarship.  Donations may be made via PayPal Libertytxathleticboosterclub@gmail.com as well as checks may be mailed to Liberty Athletic Booster Club, P.O.
