Walter Clifford Brown, 54, of Dayton passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, Oct. 13, in Old River-Winfree. He was born on Feb. 13, 1965 in Houston to the late Charles and Betty Garner Brown. Cliff was a resident of Dayton area since 1996.

Cliff was a member of Old River Assembly of God where he enjoyed volunteering his time with their Food Pantry. He began his walk and relationship with Jesus and was baptized on March 29, 2015 at the church.

Cliff pursued many hobbies, some of which included country western dancing, taking casino trips with his mom, and playing slots on his phone. He liked to spend his free time fishing on the Trinity River. Cliff was a devoted family man who loved nothing more than spending time with his family and his grandchildren. He was also very close to his siblings and loved them unconditionally. Cliff was a jokester who was funny and goofy, he enjoyed entertaining and making others smile. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Cliff was preceded in death by parents; his brother, Delbert L. Brown; and his brother-in-law, Glenn Hogan. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, the love of his life, Barbara L. Brumfield Brown; his children, Jason Keaton of Houston, Brittany N. Brown and fiancé Brad Stevens Jr. of New Caney, Colton R. Brown, Quintin L. Brown both of Dayton and Jenna L. Brown Bonsall and husband Stephen of Old River-Winfree; his siblings, Jo Brown Hogan, Billy Brown and wife Debra Calhoun Brown, Barbara Brown Dockery and Chuck Brown; his aunt Edna and Chuck Hanley; his grandchildren, Lillianna, Kaylie, Aryanna and Paisleigh McCormick, Mackenzie Stevens, Josiah Reed, Owen Keaton, Hazel and Jayden Bonsall, and Crystal and Brad Stevens III; his numerous nieces, nephews and a host of other loving relatives and friends.

A celebration of Cliff’s life will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 9, at Old River Assembly of God with Pastor Dave McLennan officiating.
