Dayton FFA members hosted their annual Ag Adventure Day for the Dayton ISD third graders on Dec. 7.

About 500 third-grade students could participate in the event held at the rodeo arena. Students rotated through various learning stations that allowed hands-on participation in activities.

Some of the stations included information related to bees and pollination of crops/creation of honey, roping cattle, dairy production, grains, animal care and much more. Each station was led by high school FFA members/students.

Time was allotted for interaction between high school and elementary students with the hopes of encouraging the elementary students to want to learn more about agriculture-based courses, programs and future careers.

All who attended and helped with the event had a great time!
