Dayton High School MCJROTC hosted the Region 5 Regional drill competition. The schools attending were required to compete in all seven events. The events are Armed Regulation Drill, Armed Exhibition Drill, Unarmed Regulation Drill, Unarmed Exhibition Drill, Color Guard, Academics, and Inspection. Out of 68 schools in Region 5, only 14 were invited to attend. Due to the MCJROTC National Drill Championship being canceled, the top four schools advanced to a Region 5 & Region 2 drill championship to be held in St Louis Missouri on May 8th. DHS MCJROTC placed 2nd in Inspection and 3rd in Armed Regulation Drill.
