Birdwell named AD/Head Football Coach at H-D

Last Thursday night, the Hull-Daisetta Bobcats announced the hiring of former graduate and player Randy Birdwell as their new Athletic Director/Head Football Coach. With the announcement of former Head Coach Stan Hodges moving to Odessa and taking a position with Odessa Permian, the Bobcats school board quickly went to work and brought in Birdwell, who was an assistant coach at Jasper. Birdwell actually spent a couple of years under Hodges before taking the Jasper job. Coming off a second-place performance a year ago, Birdwell will have eight starters on the offensive and seven starters back on defense to work within what could be a big year for the Bobcats.
