End of holidays brings plenty of basketball

Now that the Christmas holidays are over, it is time for local basketball squads to hit the courts again.

Everything gets underway as the Dayton Broncos travel across the Trinity to face Liberty on Tuesday in a big battle for bragging rights, while the Lady Panthers travel to Kingwood on Friday to face Westfork.

The Lady Broncos will travel to Porter next Friday night to open district play against the Lady Spartans.

The Hardin Hornets travel to Orangefield on Tuesday afternoon while the ladies play before the boys against the Lady Bobcats.

Tarkington will hit the road as they travel to Onalaska next Friday night.

The Hull-Daisetta Lady Cats make the short bus ride to West Hardin on Friday evening.

The Cleveland Indians host Conroe on Tuesday, and the Lady Indians are back in action on Tuesday evening as they visit Conroe.
