Huffman uses big second half to take down Liberty

HUFFMAN- The Huffman Lady Falcons put together a big third quarter and got 31 points from Jade Williams in taking a key 47-37 district win over the Liberty Lady Panthers at home on Tuesday night.
Liberty looked good in the opening quarter as they jumped out to a 13-6 lead.
Tay Carry started the game by hitting a three-pointer for a quick 3-0 lead. Madyson Goudeau then scored on a jumper with an assist from Cheyenne Williams, and the advantage was up to 6-0.
Huffman then went on a 6-1 run to close within 7-6 before another trey by Carry made it 10-6.
Just before the end of the first quarter, Breezy Pantalion came up with a steal and score, and the Lady Panthers led 13-6. Carry had 7 points after the first period.
The second quarter was low scoring, and Liberty led 18-14 early in the third quarter before Williams, and her Lady Falcons teammates got things going.
Huffman went on a 16-8 to take the lead at 30-24 before a three-pointer by Goudeau made it a three-point defi Huffman led 37a make from downtown by Williams cut deficit to 37-32 early in the fourth quarter.
With the Lady Falcons leading 43-34, Goudeau hit a three-pointer to close the gap 43-37.
The Lady Panthers not score the rest Huffman scored points of the game the victory.
