Dayton goalie Thomas Jones and teammate Jorge Sifuentes each played key parts for the West and East as both played on opposite sides of the field on Tuesday night at Houston Methodist Field at Bronco Stadium in the SETCA Boys All-Star Soccer Game. Jones and the East team came out victorious 3-1 when all was said and done.

The only score in the first half came in the 34th minute, with Crosby’s Armando Flores scoring on a breakaway to give the West a 1-0 lead. Jones had a great save early in the first half, or the Flores goal would have made the score 2-0. The East tied things up at the 12-minute mark of the second on a goal by Aidan Cruz of Beaumont United, and the score was 1-1. The East did not wait long to take their first lead of the night as they scored another goal just a minute later to move in front 2-1. In the 34th minute, the East team put the game away with a goal by a Beaumont Kelly player for a 3-1 lead. Sifuentes almost made it a one-score game for the West as his shot in the 37th minute was just off. Jones finished the game with seven saves.
