SOUR LAKE — Needing only five innings, the Lady Panthers made quick work of the Hardin-Jefferson Lady Hawks in a big 13-0 victory Tuesday night while securing their 29th win in a row.

Kylee Bishop homered twice and drove in four runs, and pitcher Bayleigh Taylor tossed a one-hitter and struck out 13.

Bishop homered in the opening inning after Bailee Slack led the game off with a triple to make it 2-0. The sophomore then went yard again in the third inning to run the lead to 8-0.

Liberty scored five in the first inning. After the Bishop shot made it 2-0, Hollie Thomas followed with a single. Abbie Key then doubled and the advantage was 3-0. Abby Vickers then left the ballpark with a home run as Key was on and the score was 5-0.

In the second inning, Bishop reached on a walk and then moved to third on a Thomas single. After Bishop scored on an error, Key singled home pinch runner Ryleigh Jordan for a 7-0 lead. The Lady Panthers added three more in the third frame, with Breezy Pantalion leading off with a double and then later scoring on a passed ball to make it 8-0. Slack then reached on an error and then Bishop scored herself and Slack on her second homer of the game and the score was up to 10-0.

Three more would score in the fifth inning as Brookelyn Taylor singled and scored on a Slack double for an 11-0 count. Bishop followed with a walk and Thomas scored Slack on a sacrifice fly and then a RBI double by Bayleigh Taylor pushed the advantage to 13-0.

As a team, Liberty finished with 14 hits for the game. Thomas had three of those hits, while Slack, Bishop, Pantalion, and Key all had two hits each.

The West Fork Lady Gators will come to town on Friday night.
