After falling behind 3-0 early on to Nederland last Saturday afternoon at the Liberty/Huffman Tournament, the Liberty Lady Panthers put up 13 quick runs over the next four innings to easily dispatch the Lady Bulldogs 13-5 at Liberty High School. Reagan Williamson led the hitting attack with three hits and a threerun homer. Alex Wiley also had a two-run shot. Brookelyn Taylor got the start and pitched into the third inning, with Kendall Daniel coming in and getting the win on the mound.

Down 3-0 heading into the bottom of the second inning, the Lady Panthers got the bats going. Wiley, Kylie Bishop, and Williamson all singled, and then Wiley scored on an error by the Nederland third baseman to make it 3-1.

Reese Evans then got Liberty within 3-2 on a groundout RBI heading into the third inning. The Lady Panthers then exploded for six runs in the third inning.

Bailee Slack walked and then scored on a Hollie Thomas double to tie the score at 3-apiece. Daniel followed with a double, and Liberty had their first lead of the game at 4-3. Wiley then reached on an error by the Lady Bulldogs centerfielder, and the score was 5-3. After a single by Bishop to put two runners on, Williamson launched a pitch well over the center-field wall to make it an 8-3 advantage.

The Lady Panthers added three more runs in the fourth inning with Slack reaching on a double, and then Daniel scored Slack on a grounder, and the score was 9-3. Breezy Pantalion followed with a single, then Wiley followed with a two-run homer, and Liberty led 11-3.

Williamson started the fifth inning off with her third hit of the game, and then Evans doubled. Groundouts by Maci Beam and Slack each produced RBIs to finish off Nederland for the win. Wiley and Bishop each had two hits apiece, and Daniel added two RBIs.

The Lady Panthers will be back in action on March 15 at Livingston.
