A week ago, Wednesday afternoon, Oct. 16, the LMS Panthers traveled to Huffman for the 21-4A District Cross Country meet.

The LMS Lady Panthers finished the meet and the year as the second place team in district.  Eighth-grader Bailey Slack led the Lady Panthers with a second place podium finish. Seventh-graders Brooke Hazlewood and Marina Bourgeois; and eighth-graders Abby Colburn, Valerig Torres and Lexie Chaparro rounded out the Lady Panther squad.

The LMS Panther boys grabbed two podium spots, with eighth graders Kolten Simmons and Daniel Del Rio finishing second and third respectively. Dalton Bishop and Walker Williamson also ran for the Panthers and finished well.
